A Sinful Offering

This was my entry for the Primary Art Book. Sadly, the project did not go through, but I was really happy to have gotten the opportunity to work with all the artists and see all their great work

This piece represents the color red for passion, power, danger and blood. In the story of Adam and Eve, Eve takes a fruit from the tree of wisdom and offers some to Adam. By doing so, they both gain knowledge. However, they learn about negative impulses and evil thoughts, but knowledge can be considered power. The symmetrical composition of the piece also represents power by giving the viewer a feeling of intimidation and strength. The theme of passion is represented by the sensual pose of the womanly figure, her red eyes, and lips. The woman is tempting the viewer with a taste of the fruit of wisdom, but she's also about to take a bite for herself. This symbolizes that knowledge can be a tantalizing source of power, can become a passion that is to be sought after, and it can be dangerous if
